God wants you and your kids to be nourished with the food he has provided. Our heavenly Father created vegetation – the plants and the fruit bearing trees. 11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.  Genesis 1:11   He gave all these plants and seeds to us   Read more…

What is Love

Posted on by

When we tell our kids, “Jesus loves you.” Do they know what that means? What is love? Is it that fuzzy feeling you get whenever a particular person is near? Chemistry? Brain chemicals on the overdrive? Poems about love often talk about feelig in love. About emotions. But love is more than an emotion. The kind of love Jesus has for us goes beyond emotion. It’s unconditional love. Who Is Jesus? Jesus is God Himself, trapped in time and space, in the body of a man. Born as a baby, he grew up knowing that he was to be the   Read more…

Fruit of the Spirit for Kids

Posted on by

A favourite sunday school activity is for the kids to list out the fruit of the spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23 Besides knowing the fruit, do they really know what this means? What is Parenting

Parenting is about raising a child in love. Parenting means guiding and caring for the child. Love and respect goes both ways. While kids are expected parents to respect their parents, parents too should respect their children’s views. The bible teaches us how to parent. Colossians 3:21-22 20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. 21 Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged. Parenting involves mutual respect.   1 Samuel 2:27-29 27 Now a man of God came to Eli and said to him, “This is what the LORD says: ‘Did I not clearly reveal myself   Read more…

Who Is God For Kids?

Posted on by

God has revealed Himself to the little children. Matthew 11:25-28 25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do. 27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will   Read more…
